Shopian: 178 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force on Friday held a mega medical camp under its Civic Action Programme at Zainapora this south-Kashmir district.
The camp was attended by hundreds of locals including students from the area who were treated and disbursed with free medicines.
The Reshipora-Zainapora based 178 Battalion organized the camp on the demands of locals to facilitate the general public. The participants to the programme were educated on various health diseases including the ill-effects of nutrition deficiency by a team of specialized doctors roped by the organizing battalion. The participants were also made aware of the measures as to combat the outbreak of ongoing COVID pandemic.
Second in command 178 Battalion DB Jakhar addressed the students and locals urging them to maintain their health and hygiene. “We will continue to hold such camps in future also to facilitate the local community”, he said.
