18 travellers among 79 fresh cases, one corona death reported in J&K

Srinagar, Mar 6 (GNS): Eighteen travellers were among 79 new covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir even as one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

18 of the cases were from Jammu Division and 61 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 126932.

The victim belonged to Jammu Division and the death took to 1961— 1234 in Kashmir and 727 in Jammu.

Giving district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 35 cases, Baramulla 9, Budgam 4, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 1, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 0, Shopian 1, Jammu 16, Udhampur 0,
Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratories of SKIMS Soura, CD hospital and GMC Anantnag.

The SKIMS cases include male (45) from Hukhlatra, male (28) from Iei Najan, male (50) from Ms Hanjiguru, female (45) from Kanipora B Budgam, male (69) from Baghi Mehtab, male (67) from Kralsangri, male (40) from SKIMS, male (29) from Ahmadnagar, female (26) from Lal Bazar Srinagar, two males (60, 60) from Giraj Ganderbal, male (16) from Ajas Bandipora, female (55) from Watergam Baramulla, male (33) from Chateripo Pulwama.

The CD cases include male (11) and female (45) from Nowpora, female (50) from Hyderpora, two males (18, 12) from Firdous Abad Dar Ul Manan, male (28) from Chattabal, male (61) from Baghat Barzulla, male (68) from Dadora Pulwama, male (60) from Rawalpora Srg, female (70) and male (66) from Indranagar Srinagar.

The GMC Anantnag cases include female (30) from Abhama, female (18) from Sangerwani, female (35) from Zrakan, two males (31, 28) from Chanchmarg Keller, male (59) from Housing Colony Bijbehara, female (26) from Guree Bijbehara.

Moreover, they said, 87 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—11 from Jammu Division and 76 from Kashmir Valley. (GNS)
