Kupwara: A two-day long annual congregational programme (Ijtemah) held by Dar-ul-Uloom Qasmia Kantpora Lolab concluded here on Wednesday.
The daylong programme was attended by prominent scholar from Gujarat Maulana Salah ud Din Saifi Naqshbandi besides valley’s renowned scholars Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi (Bandipora), Mufti Muzaffar Hussain Qasmi (Sopore), Qazi Mohammad Imran (Srinagar), Hafiz Aadil Siddiqui (Shopian) and other scholars.
Several students were felicitated on the eve for completing the ‘Hifz’ (memorization) of the Holy Quran.
The attending scholars in their speeches highlighted the importance and significance of Quranic and Sunnah and asked the Muslim Ummah to follow the way of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in letter and spirit.
The event was attended by a large number of people who appreciated the Institution in organizing such Islamic programmes.
Pertinent to mention here that the first day of the event was kept exclusive for females and the second day open to both the genders.
