Uri, June 25 (GNS): A 42-year-old teacher died in a road accident in Garkote village of Baramulla district’s Uri town on Thursday.Officials told GNS that the government school teacher, Zulfiqar Ali Khawaja son of Ghulam Rasool Khawaja, died on the spot after his car skidded off the road and fell 150 feet down into a gorge in Garkote area. The deceased was the nephew of the former MLA Uri, Mohammad Shafi Uri.
Dr Sajjad Shafi, Uri’s elder son who is also the vice-president of JKNC North Zone has expressed grief over the demise. (GNS)
