Commissioner SMC to review progress of developmental works on weekly basis

SRINAGAR, JUNE 26: In a bid to assess with the pace and progress of developmental works of SMC post Covid unlock, Commissioner SMC Gazanfar Ali has decided to take review of ongoing developmental works on weekly basis.

He has directed the engineering wing along with the concerned officials to expedite the restored developmental works and an action report in this regard be submitted weekly to the Commissioner SMC.

Gazanfar Ali has been constantly visiting various places across city along with the entire team of Engineers to identify issues particularly related to lanes, drains to overcome the hampered progress of work during Covid.

Besides visiting various areas from down town and uptown the Commissioner today visited Rambagh area where locals facing problems in the absence of proper drainage and issues related to lanes brought certain other issues into the notice of Commissioner SMC.

On hearing out all the grievances of the people in the area patiently, he assured them that all their problems will be resolved without further delay..

Joint Commissioner Works Ishtiyaq Ahmed Shah who was accompanying Commissioner along with S.E drainage, concerned Corporator, the entire team of engineers and other officials were directed to prepare estimate and submit the same in the office of Commissioner for further course of action.

The engineers have been directed to conduct survey within thier concerned jurisdiction and identify the issues that needs immediate attention for the convenience of public.

They have also been asked for timely completion of various projects already assigned to them prior to the outbreak of  Covid 19 pandemic.
