SHOPIAN, JUNE 26 :-Continuing the anti encroachment drive in the District Shopian , Tehsildar Shopian Mr Bilal Ahmed (KAS), today evicted 110 kanals of Kahcharia land in the village Manloo and demolished few under construction structures and tin sheds.
The drive was conducted by a joint team of revenue department and municipal committee Shopian. The drive was started early in the morning and continued for four hours to get the encroached land evicted.
The administration has recovered 250 kanals during this month.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Shopian Choudhary Mohammad Yasin said that the all the encroachments in the District would be evicted in a phased manner and people are requested to co-operate and refrain from these acts in the future else legal action would be initiated against the culprits. He also appreciated the efforts of the Tehsildar Shopian for the action taken against encroachment of govt land.
