Rajouri, July 1 (GNS): Army on Wednesday claimed to have foiled an infiltration attempt by killing a militant in Keri area of Bhimber Gali Sector in Rajouri district.
“Based on specific intelligence inputs from J&K Police, a joint operation was launched close to Line of Control in Keri area of Bhimber Gali Sector in District Rajouri,” an army spokesman said in a statement to GNS.
“(Militants) were seen crossing the Line of Control and the alert troops of Indian Army foiled the infiltration bid resulting in killing of one (militant),” the spokesman said, adding, “One AK-47 with two magazines (was) recovered. The search operation is in progress.” (GNS)
