Srinagar, Nov 5 (GNS): Unknown gunmen on Thursday looted Rs 60 lakhs from cash van near Tak Mohallah in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said.
A senior police officer told GNS that at least four gunmen attacked the van near main branch of Jammu and Kashmir bank at Shopian and decamped with cash which is said to be around Rs 60 lakhs. A police officer told GNS that a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers and recover the looted cash. In this connection, a case has been registered and further investigations were taken up, the officer added. (GNS)
