‘Online Classes Voluntary For Teachers, Students’
Srinagar, Dec 11 (GNS): The authorities on Friday ordered winter vacation in all the Government Educational Institutions including recognized Private Schools upto Higher Secondary Level functioning in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu Division from December 21 till February 28.
As per order issued by B.K Singh, Administrative Secretary School education department , the online classes will be voluntary in nature for both for teachers and students.
“ It is hereby ordered that all the Government Educational Institutions including recognized Private Schools upto Higher Secondary Level functioning in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu Division shall observe winter vacation w.e.f21u of December, 2020 to 28 of February, 2021,” reads the order.
“Any default on part of the Head of the School(s) in observance of the calendar and SOPs of Covd-19 shall attract strict action under rules,” the order, a copy of which lies with GNS, reads. Regarding online classes the government said the same will be voluntary in nature for both for teachers and students. (GNS)
