Anantnag, Jun 19 (GNS): An elderly woman died due to drowning after slipping in a Nallah in Pushkerdi Srigufwara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Saturday.
They identified the deceased as Rehaat Begam wife of Adul Gani Lone, a resident of Pushkerdi Srigufwara
Locals said the woman was washing broom after cleaning the yard of the house and slipped into the nallah near by her home in Manzpora Pushkerdi this morning.
Some locals spotted the body lying in Nallah in Pushkuri Sirigufwara and immediately informed police station Srigufwara about the incident.
Soon, a police team reached the spot and recovered the body. A police officer told GNS that the body would handed over to the family after legal and other formalities. (GNS)
