DC Pulwama chairs District Quality Assurance Committee meeting

PULWAMA: In a strategic move towards advancing healthcare excellence, the District Quality Assurance Committee held a pivotal meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom.

The meeting aimed to assess the progress and adherence to National Quality Assurance Standards, charting a course for elevating healthcare facilities across the District.

The DC presided over the comprehensive overview of National Quality Assurance Standards, delving into policies, checklists, assessment methods, and various levels of quality assurance.

Emphasizing a commitment to excellence, the DC directed the recommendation of additional facilities for certification, underscoring the District’s dedication to achieving and surpassing stringent healthcare benchmarks.

Acknowledging existing gaps in health facilities at different assessment levels, the DC issued directives to ensure comprehensive fulfillment. A key aspect of the meeting was the emphasis on inter-departmental coordination to address local-level gaps efficiently, fostering a collaborative approach among departments.

Looking towards the future, the DC directed meticulous planning for the next year, urging that proposed facilities meet the highest standards with identified gaps promptly addressed. This forward-looking approach reflected the District’s commitment to continuous improvement in healthcare services.

Addressing health officials, the DC emphasized the swift occupation of health facilities yet to be operational, aiming to expedite the enhancement of healthcare services across the district. This directive ensured that the community benefits from optimized healthcare provisions without undue delays.

The meeting witnessed the participation of key stakeholders, including the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Superintendent DH Pulwama, Block Medical Officers, and other health officials.
