DC Shopian reviews arrangements for smooth conduct of JKSSB exam

SHOPIAN:  The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today chaired a meeting of Head of institutions, Centre Superintendents and concerned Officers at Conference Hall of DC Office Shopian here to finalize the preparations of OMR based written examination for the post of Finance Accounts Assistant (FAA) of JKSSB, scheduled to be held on 28th of January in the district.

During the meeting, it was informed that around 4148 candidates are expected to appear in the written examination at 13 centers across the District. For the smooth, free and fair conduct of examinations 13 Magistrates, Observers, Superintendents each and 1 Dy.Superintendent have been deployed in the district.

Deliberations in the meeting focused on roles, responsibilities and coordination of manpower, meticulous arrangement of basic facilities, especially heating arrangements keeping in view the cold conditions, elaborate security arrangements, logistics for transportation, safekeeping of examination materials and efficient traffic management.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that fair and transparent exams are the top most priority of the district administration.

The DC directed to ensure the installation of CCTVs in control rooms of the educational institutions of the district where these SSB exams are going to be conducted along with videography of exams.

The meeting was apprised that the police department was directed to ensure adequate deployment of Police personnel for escort of examination material and for proper frisking.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; Principal, IMGDC Shopian, Prof. Mohammad Shafiq; Chief Education Officer, Shopain, Mohammad Shabir; Administrative Officer, Tehsildars, Superintendents, Head of institutions and other Concerned were present.
