Addressing the meeting, Ayushi stressed the engineers to ensure power supply according to the schedule to avoid any inconvenience to the people.

The DC directed the officers to be more proactive on the ground to address the grievances and issues of the people regarding power supply.

She also directed Ex. Engineers and AEEs to personally reach out to the people and respond to their grievances.

The DC reviewed grid wise Power supply and asked the officers to provide power supply as per schedule. She directed officers to constitute a committee which will cross check the log book data of different grids of the district and relate it with the feedback from the ground.

Ayushi directed the concerned officers to constitute the teams which will verify and report the authenticity of the revision of electricity bills.

On the occasion, DC asked the officers to investigate the objectivity of the line men and MRs (Meter Readers) viz-a-viz revision of bills.

“AEEs and JEs have to check the load and shoulder the responsibilities of revision of electricity bills strictly according to the load instead of revision of bills instead of MRs and Line men,” DC said.

She also impressed upon the officers to intensify the field inspections to curb the issue of power theft and ensure that crude gadgets are completely banned.

The DC reviewed progress of creation of 33/11 KV Receiving Station at Dever (Lolab) and the concerned engineers on the occasion apprised that the 90% of work of the receiving station is complete and within 15 days the receiving station will start functioning.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent Engineer, PDD North Circle, Habib Choudhary, Executive Engineers of PDD Division Kupwara/Handwara, AEEs and JEs.
