Removes Annual Work Recommendation Clause

Srinagar, July 4 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved a significant amendment to the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Scheme, enhancing the annual allocation to Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from ₹300 lakh to ₹400 lakh starting the financial year 2025–26.

As per the Government Order issued by the Finance Department a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, In continuation to Government order No. 76-FD of 2025 Dated: 10/03/2025, sanction is hereby accorded to the following amendments in the existing guidelines on Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Scheme with immediate effect, Enhancement of CDF from the existing Rs. 300.00 lakhs to Rs. 400.00 lakhs to each Hon’ble MLA per year under the scheme from the Financial year 2025-26.

Para 2.12 of the guidelines on Constituency Development Fund (CDF) scheme is omitted, which reads as “The MLA shall recommend the works up to the annual ceiling within 90 days of commencement of the Financial year,” reads the order. (JKNS)
