Nasir Khuehami, National Convenor of JKSA, told news agency JKNS that Mudasir Ahmad, a resident of Pattan, Baramulla, tragically lost his life after the motorcycle he was riding, along with Zahid Ahmad from Bandipora and Momin Ahmad from Batingu, Sopore, collided with a Swift car.

“All three students were rushed to a local hospital. Unfortunately, Mudasir Ahmad was declared brought dead, while Zahid and Momin remain in critical condition,” Khuehami said.

He added that Mudasir’s body has been kept at the mortuary of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, and appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to ensure the swift transportation of his mortal remains to his hometown for the last rites.

“This tragedy has brought unimaginable despair to the family. We urge both governments to provide every possible support to the grieving family and ensure immediate specialized medical care for the critically injured students,” Khuehami said.

He further informed that the JKSA has already taken up the matter with the Punjab Chief Minister’s Office to expedite arrangements for transporting the deceased’s body and to facilitate advanced medical care for the injured students. (JKNS)
