Srinagar, Sep 10: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has conferred judicial magistrate powers on Shri Mudasir Yousuf, who is presently serving as Munsiff Sogam.
According to an order issued by the Registrar General’s office in Srinagar, Yousuf has been vested with the powers of Judicial Magistrate First Class under Section 9 (3) of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
The order states that these powers will be exercised within his respective jurisdiction with effect from the date he assumed charge as Munsiff Sogam.
The notification, issued under No. 1391 of 2025/RG and signed by Registrar General (Officiating) M.K. Sharma, came into effect on September 8. [KNT]
