Srinagar, Feb 12 : One minor lost his life, while one other was injured after wooden logs slipped over them while they were playing at the Social Forestry Corporation area in Shaltang on Thursday, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner—(KNC) that one among the two minors dies upon arrival to hospital, the incident occurred when a pile of wooden logs suddenly slipped, trapping the children underneath and causing serious injuries.

They were identified as Arhaan (6) and Huzaif (10), originally residents of Boatman Colony, Bemina, who had recently shifted to Shaltang Ghat.

Both were immediately rushed to JVC Hospital, Bemina, where Aerhan was brought dead, official said.

Police cognizance of the incident has been taken. (KNC)
