Tragic Accident Claims Young Life in South Kashmir, Driver Absconds

Anantnag, Feb 15 : A 12-year-old boy lost his life in a tragic road accident at Rain Chowgund area of Verinag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.

Officials told KNC that a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK03N-3472, hit the minor boy identified as Numan Khursheed Itoo, son of Khursheed Ahmad Itoo of Chowgund Verinag.

The injured boy was immediately shifted to PHC Verinag for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle reportedly fled from the spot after the accident.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (KNC)
