J&K Police seizes 02 JCBs involved in illegal mining in South Kashmir

February 16: As part of its sustained drive against illegal mining, Police Station Zainapora have seized two JCBs involved in the unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals in the Zainapora area.

During routine patrolling, a police party from Police Station Zainapora intercepted two JCBs that were found illegally extracting minerals without valid royalty documents. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 10/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Zainapora and further investigation has been initiated.

J&K Police reaffirm their commitment to protecting the district’s natural resources and ensuring strict legal action against those involved in illegal mining. The general public is urged to cooperate by reporting such unlawful activities. The identity of informants will be kept confidential and stringent action will be taken against violators.
