New Delhi, Mar 5: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday issued Circular-3 regarding the conduct of Class X and Class XII board examinations in the Middle East regions.
According to the circular, issued after reviewing the prevailing situation in parts of the Middle East, the decision applies to CBSE-affiliated schools located in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
CBSE announced that all Class X examinations scheduled from March 7 to March 13, 2026 have been cancelled, while the exams earlier scheduled on March 2, 5 and 6, which had been postponed, also stand cancelled. The board said the mode of declaration of results for Class X students in the Middle East will be notified separately in due course.
For Class XII students, the examination scheduled on Saturday, March 7, 2026 has been postponed, and revised dates will be announced later. The board further said it will review the situation on March 7 and issue appropriate directions regarding examinations scheduled from March 9 onwards.
Students have been advised to remain in close contact with their respective schools and follow official announcements carefully, the board said.(KNC)
