Anantnag, Mar 17 : A massive fire broke out in Laripora area of Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, engulfing three structures of a hotel, officials said.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the Fire and Emergency Services Station Pahalgam rushed the first firefighting team to the spot soon after the incident was reported.
They said additional reinforcement teams from Fire Station Sallar Anantnag and Fire Station Ashmuqam were also dispatched to the spot to assist in controlling the blaze.
Firefighting operations were underway till the filing of this report, while the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited. (KNC)
