Shopian, Mar 28: A CRPF personnel lost his life after found unconscious in Shopian district on Saturday, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that the deceased has been identified as Gayan Chand alias Ashok Kumar, a resident of Arazi Samba, Jammu, who was posted at the CRPF headquarters in Shopian.

He said the personnel fell unconscious and was immediately shifted to District Hospital Shopian for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings under relevant Sections. (KNC)
