Traffic Movement Restricted on Gawran–Margan-Warwan Route; Advisory Issued

Kokernag, Apr 3 : The Sub Divisional Magistrate Kokernag on Friday issued an advisory regulating vehicular movement on the Gawran towards Margan-Warwan route, permitting traffic only between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM on April 3, 2026, subject to fair weather conditions.

As per the advisory as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, commuters have been asked to strictly adhere to the specified timing, with no movement allowed beyond the permitted hours due to safety concerns. Authorities have also been directed to ensure proper traffic regulation and wide dissemination of the advisory among the public.

The advisory further stated that icy patches continue to exist on certain stretches, making the road slippery. As such, only vehicles equipped with anti-skid or snow chains will be allowed to ply on the route, while those without such equipment will not be permitted.

Meanwhile, SHO Police Station Larnoo has been directed to ensure strict implementation of the order on the ground. (KNC)
