Srinagar, Apr 30 : At least two firefighters were injured and four houses were damaged after a fire broke out in the Bemina area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that four houses were damaged near Usmania Colony in Bemina.
He said the fire started in one house and quickly spread to adjoining structures, engulfing four houses before it was brought under control by the Fire and Emergency Department.
He added that two firemen, Mohammad Arif and Tanvir Ahmed, were injured during the operation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and cognizance has been taken.—(KNO)
