J&K Govt Orders Reshuffle in Power Development Department

Srinagar, May 05: The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has ordered a significant reshuffle in the Power Development Department (PDD), transferring and posting multiple engineers across various divisions with immediate effect.

According to Government Order No. 111-JK(PDD) of 2026 dated May 05, the decision has been taken in the interest of administration to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of official work.

As per the order, several Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), and Assistant Engineers (AEs) have been transferred or assigned additional charges in different wings of KPDCL, JPDCL, and JKPTCL.

Among the key changes, Mudasir Amin Baqal has been posted to S&O Division JKPTCL Kashmir, while Tassaduq Nabi Chowdary has been assigned additional charge of Executive Engineer IT&C Division KPDCL. Hamidullah Thokar and Umer Majid Kamli have also been given new postings with added responsibilities.

In addition, several AEEs including Ghulam Qadir Mir, Nazir Ahmad, Irfana Chicken, and others have been shifted across various divisions in Kashmir and Jammu regions. Some officers have been deputed, while others have been adjusted against available vacancies in different units.

The order further states that all concerned engineers shall be deemed relieved from their previous postings and are directed to assume their new assignments immediately.

The reshuffle is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline operations and improve efficiency within the Power Development Department.(KNC)
