May 10: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining and traffic violations, Police in Baramulla carried out multiple enforcement actions in the Chandoosa area.
During naka checking, Police Station Chandoosa seized 02 tippers and 01 dumper involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of stones and sand. Action against the vehicles was taken under the provisions of the MMDR Act.
In a separate action, one tipper without valid documents was also seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Further intensifying the drive against MV Act violators, Police Station Chandoosa also seized 02 four-wheeler vehicles and one motorcycle under Section 207 MV Act for violation of legal transport norms.
J&K Police reiterates its commitment towards strict enforcement against illegal mining activities and traffic violations, and appeals to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order.
