Srinagar, June 8(GNS):An elderly man died of electrocution in Bandi Saidpora, Uri, on Monday evening.

Officials told GNS that a man accidentally came into contact with an electric current while working at his resident and sustained critical injuries. Family members shifted him to SDH Uri, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased has been identified as Syed Mohd Shafi, 65, son of Late Walait Shah, a resident of Bandi Saidpora.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.(GNS)
