Anantnag July 06 (GNS): A 61-year-old man died after being hit by a Tavera vehicle in Bahie area of Hiller Kokernag on Saturday, officials said.

They told GNS that the accident took place when a Tavera bearing registration number JK19-0641 hit a pedestrian, identified as Abdul Majeed Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat a resident of Dehruna.

The injured was shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries, the officials added.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident.(GNS)
