Poonch, July 07 (GNS): A woman was seriously injured on Tuesday after being attacked by three wild bears while cutting grass in the Chhamber Kinari area of Mandi tehsil in Poonch district.
Officials told GNS that the victim, identified as Hazra Begum, was attacked while she was working in the fields.
She was initially shifted to Sub-District Hospital Mandi for treatment and later referred to District Hospital Poonch for advanced care.
This is the second bear attack reported in the area within two days, triggering panic among residents.
Wildlife officials have been informed and locals have urged the administration to take measures to prevent further man-animal conflict in the region.(GNS)
