SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Tuesday expressed grief over the death of two lecturers from the School Education Department who were killed in a road accident in Magam and called for a fair, transparent and impartial enquiry into the incident.

In a statement posted on X, Itoo said she was deeply saddened by the loss of Manzoor Ahmad Malik, a Physics lecturer, and Shabir Ahmad Dar, a Chemistry lecturer, both from the Gulmarg constituency.

She extended her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls.

“May Almighty Allah grant them the highest place in Jannat and give strength to their loved ones to bear this irreparable loss,” she said.

The Education Minister also urged the authorities to conduct a fair, transparent and impartial enquiry into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
