Srinagar, July 17 (GNS): Srinagar Police on Thursday attached four immovable properties valued at ₹3.34 crore in connection with NDPS cases, as part of the ongoing _Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan 100 Days Campaign.

In a handout to GNS, the police said that the properties were attached by Police Station Safakadal under Section 68F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Police said these assets were identified as proceeds of narcotics trafficking and had been illegally acquired.

A three-storey residential house at Nawakadal worth ₹1.19 crore, belonging to Adnan Lateef Sheikh of Braripora. He is an accused in FIR No. 74/2026 registered under Section 8/22 NDPS Act at PS Safakadal.

A single-storey house on 7 marlas and 50 sq ft at Palpora, Noorbagh valued at ₹1.18 crore, belonging to Danyal Ahmad Bisati. He is involved in FIR No. 24/2025 under Sections 8/20, 29 NDPS Act.

A double-storey house on around 4.5 marlas at Barthana, Qammerwari worth ₹71.31 lakh, belonging to Shahid Gul. He is named in FIR No. 48/2026 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act.

A single-storey house on 3 marlas at Goripora valued at ₹25 lakh, belonging to Adil Ahmad Mir of Palpora. He is an accused in FIR No. 62/2025 under Sections 8/21, 29 NDPS Act.

Police said attachment orders have been served to all the accused. They have been barred from selling, leasing, mortgaging, transferring or creating any third-party interest in the properties without prior permission of the competent authority.

Officials said the action is aimed at dismantling the financial networks behind drug trafficking and choking the flow of money generated from the illicit trade.

“Srinagar Police remains committed to making the city drug-free. We urge citizens to come forward and share any information related to drug peddling with the nearest police station or through the Police Helpline,” a police spokesperson said.(GNS)
