Poonch, Aug 5 (GNS): Security forces launched a massive search operation in over a dozen forested villages in Surankote on Wednesday following reports of movement of two separate groups of suspected terrorists in Dhara Sangla and Gujjar Naar.
Officials told GNS that no contact has been established with the suspected terrorists so far, and the operation was continuing when last reports were received.
During the operation, a joint team of Police, SOG and 37 RR also recovered a cache of ammunition from Bhoriwala Dhok, adjoining Village Hari.
As per officials, the following items were recovered 117 AK-47 rounds, 17 Pistol rounds 9mm and 2 AK-47 magazines.
Police said further details are awaited and investigation into the recovery is underway.(GNS)
