Baramulla, Aug 8 (GNS): The Baramulla-Uri National Highway will remain temporarily closed at Danakha Morh on Sunday for hill cutting and safety works.
According to an order issued by the District Magistrate Baramulla, the road stretch at Design Chainage 65+600 will be closed on August 9, 2026_ from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Officials told GNS that the closure has been ordered to facilitate hill cutting work at Danakha Morh. Given apprehensions of landslides and recent incidents of minor slides on the stretch, the temporary restriction has been imposed in the interest of public safety and to prevent any loss of life and property.
Commuters and transporters plying on the Baramulla-Uri road have been advised to plan their travel accordingly and avoid the affected stretch during the closure hours.(GNS)
