Doda, September 5: A young girl reportedly jumped into the Chenab River from the Shiva Bridge near Prem Nagar in Doda district on Saturday, triggering concern among local residents and prompting an immediate rescue operation.
According to information received from reliable sources, the girl has been identified as Payal Devi, daughter of Krishan Lal, a resident of Korara, Tehsil Mohalla, District Doda.
Soon after the incident was reported, police personnel, along with local residents, reached the spot and initiated efforts to locate the girl.
A rescue operation has also been launched, with rescue teams searching the Chenab River and its surrounding areas to trace the missing girl. Local people are also assisting the authorities in the search operation.
