Srinagar, Jul 23: A delegation of ‘All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association’ led by its President Abdul Majeed met the Joint Financial Commissioner here on Saturday to discuss various issues of the association.
“As directed by worthy Financial Commissioner Revenue, Joint Financial Commissioner Mohd Younis Malik today called President AJKPA Ab Majeed and delegation for discussion and deliberation on the issues raised by All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association with the Administration”, reads Association statement received by Kashmir Glory.
“Discussion was held in a conducive atmosphere and the delegation of AJKPA put forward their view point clearly. Hectic deliberation was held on the issue of digitalization of Jammabandies”, the statement reads.
The delegation, as per the statement, demanded a clear mechanism for digitalisation Jammabandies which involves Providing of Computer equipment and Proper training to the field staff and providing a Urdu Knowing computer operator for each Patwar Halqa and making it quality oriented and not as a mere progress related issue. The chair was briefed about pros and cons of making it public.
“Hectic deliberations were held on the demands of AJ KPA which included; 1) Grade pay enhancement 2) Ban on Direct recruitment of Naib Tehsildars 3) creation of Patwar halqas & GQ circles 4) Enhancement of allowances from Rs 400 to Rs 1000. 5) Ban on transfer of Patwaris and GQs outside native Districts and reverting all such transferred persons to native Districts.”
The chair, it reads, agreed to discuss and finalise the issues by Wednesday and has invited the delegation again on Wednesday 27/07/2022 to finalise the matters in presence of worthy Financial Commissioner Revenue.
The delegation, as per the statement, was made aware of the directions passed by worthy Financial Commissioner Revenue, wherein Strong Directions have been passed to all Deputy Commissioners of UT to facilitate the working conditions and not to harass anybody. Worthy Financial Commissioner Revenue has used the term.
“AJKPA is committed to resolve the issues on fast track basis and President AJKPA Ab Majeed Malla has appealed to the basic members to remain firm and continue to deliver their best as has been the hallmark of members of AJKPA”, it reads.
“Besides worthy President AJK PA, General Secretary Syed Danish Qadri and District President Srinagar Shafat Rasool were part of Delegation”, the statement concludes.
