Srinagar, Dec 16: Army’s 18 Rashtriya Rifles under 2 Sector stationed at Ranipora of south-Kashmir’s Anantnag district setup a ‘Wall of Kindness’ amid the prevailing chilly weather.
A defence official statement received here reads that “In an endeavor to connect with the public in this bone chilling weather, a ‘Wall of Kindess’ was setup by the unit at Chattergul bowl in the district.”
The ‘Wall’, as per the statement, is aimed for distribution of warn clothes and ration for the locals.
“The ‘Wall’ symbolises ‘Unity’ and ‘Common Good’ for all”, the statement reads.
“On the occasion winter clothes, ration and toys were disbursed among the poor families at Brah village”, the statement reads.
“Lt. Colonel Rohit Jha and Captain John conceived and executed this project and by doing so they have connected the Army with the global campaign of human altruism”, the statement reads further.
