Bla: At Ushkara Firing Range, people protest demanding transformer

Srinagar, Dec 14 (GNS): Locals of Ushkara Firing Range and its adjoining areas on Monday held a protest demonstration against Power Development Department (PDD) Baramulla, demanding restoration of 65 kv transformer.

The protesters said the PDD is not restoring the transformer that was damaged a few days ago.

 “Our entire locality is without electricity for the last seven days but the PDD authorities are doing nothing,” they told GNS, adding that the winter has further worsened the situation.

The locals have appealed to the higher authorities to look into the matter and provide them the power transformer at the earliest. (GNS)
