New Delhi, May 19 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Assistant Vigilance Officer and a Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) employee of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in connection with a bribery case involving alleged demand and acceptance of illegal gratification from a former DDA official.

According to an official CBI press release issued on Tuesday, the agency registered the case on May 18, 2026, against the accused Assistant Vigilance Officer after receiving a complaint from a former Deputy Director of DDA.

The complainant alleged that the accused officer had demanded a bribe of ₹5 lakh in exchange for sending a favourable reply to the complainant’s parent department in connection with a vigilance matter pending against him.
