Srinagar: A 65-year-old man on Thursday evening jumped into river Jhelum in Zainakadal area of Central Kashmir Srinagar district on Thursday evening. Reliable sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Scroll that an elderly man (name withheld) a resident of Bilal Colony Zakoora, jumped near MR Gunj. Soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched at the site to bring the man out from the river. No success has however been achieved at the time of filing of this report.
