Kupwara, Dec 6: Low lying electricity wires tugged to trees have been posing a serious threat to the inhabitants of Hayatpora hamlet in Lolab area of this district.
A public delegation told Kashmir Glory that the residents are living under constant threat and fear due to low-lying electricity wires tugged to trees at various places.
The delegation members maintained that other wires are even tied to decayed poles which on and off fall due to winds and downpour.
Despite approaching the department concerned to sort out the issue, however nothing significant has been done to redress this long-pending issue, they said.
Without doing much to resolve the genuine issues however what ‘perplexes’ the inhabitants is that the Department officials off and on visit the households to pay the bills.
“With which face they visit us to seek the payment of bills when we have no proper electricity supply coupled with other issues which these people (PDD) have failed to redress for a long time now”, an agitated delegation member said. (KGNN)
