Srinagar, Oct 22 (GNS): Forest Division Awantipora on Saturday condoled untimely demise of DFO Awantipora, who left for heavenly abode this morning. “With profound grief, sorrow and stabbing heart, Awantipora Forest Division shares this painful news that one of our veteran, loving and respected Forest Officer, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Bhat, who was DFO Bandipora Forest Division left us today morning. Inalillahi wainna illahi rajaoon”, reads a statement received by GNS. Hailing from Awantipora District Pulwama, Bhat, as per the statement graduated from Faculty of Agriculture, Wadura Sopore SKUAST-K, joined the department of Forest as Range Officer Grade-I through his service carrier he served the department in various capacities as Range Officer Awantipora, Range Officer Bijbehara, Range Officer Kulgam, Deputy Director Forest Protection Force , Divisional Manager SFC Pulwama , DFO, Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal, DFO Bandipora and also worked at other significant & prestigious posts. “Whole Forest department termed Mr. Shabir Ahmad Bhat as a pious soul with kind heart who was always helpful to the needy and poor people. The deceased has made a lot of contributions towards the department and society as well”, reads the statement. “In this hour of grief we the employees of Forest Division Awantipora under the aegis of Shri Waseem Farooq Mir (DCF) Divisional Forest Officer Awantipora extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and acquaintances. May almighty Allah grant eternal peace to the departed soul”, the statement reads.
