Kupwara, Aug 5 (KG): In tandem with the nationwide campaign of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ to mark 75th Independence Day celebrations, ‘North Zone Cultural Center Patiala’ Friday organised a cultural programme at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Sogam. The event held at the institute marked the culmination of the cultural programme held for the last four days.
The programme overall saw a sizable participation of commoners from different age groups, which were enthralled by the performances of several artists.
Among a host of dignitaries, the programme at GBHrSS Sogam was attended by Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Kupwara Shabir Ahmad, who also graced the occasion as Chief Guest, Chief Education Officer Kupwara Abdul Hamid Fani, Program officer North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) Rajesh Bassi, Principal Boys Hr Sec School Sogam Ab Gaffar Ahangar, Rayees Masroor District Cultural Coordinator Education Department Kupwara, Mudasir Naqeeb District Coordinator NZCC Patiala, Mushtaq Bhat District Coordinator NZCC Patiala, Maqsood Kashmiri Photographer, Senior Editor Tameel-e-Irshad Nazim Nazir, Jahangir Lolabi Correspondent GNS/Kashmir and Dr Iqbal.
Addressing on the eve, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Kupwara Shabir Ahmad said that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign justifies our identity that we live in a major democratic country and it makes one to realize that we shall be respecting and obeying from the heart.
The Programme Officer Rajesh Bassi thanked DC Kupwara Khalid Jahangir for his cordial support in successful conduct of the programme.
During the programme, Dilkash Folk Theatre Hatmulla Kupwara, Abdul Gani and party from Gulgam Kupwara and Mudasir and party presented different cultural programmes.
The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and to promote among them awareness about the Indian National Flag. Kashmir Glory News
