Srinagar: JKEEU and JKCNGEEU on Thursday held a joint protest within premises of Bemina Complex Srinagar, to seek resolution of various genuine demands.
“Since power administration has from time to time refused to resolve in good faith with the affirmative end of the genuine demands related with PDD/PDC Employees. All the employees of PDD/PDC protest against not redressal of demands of suppressed employees of the PDD/PDC on Thursday at Bemina complex”, reads a statement issued to Kashmir Glory.
“Employees are very serious about their problems will not hesitate to make any sacrifice. The irony is that the higher authorities are shown non seriousness towards these burning issues and do not come up with concrete solutions and we are forced to take desperate/Extreme measures like strike in the shape of strong protest despite the fact that the unions believe in reconciliation instead of antagonism”, reads the statement.
The ‘Charter of Demands’ which the employees unions – JKEEU/JKCNGEE, seek implementation of all positive recommendations include; i) Delinking of the salary of the employees on deputation to the existing corporation from grant in aid and release regular budget as it is existing from similar class of other Govt. Employees working in other departments.(Budgetary support linked with the treasury); ii) Regularization of all PDL/TDL workers in one go by way of creation of class 4th posts. Rehabilitation policy by way of compassionate appointment to the next kins of deceased PDL/TDL workers and subsequently release of long pending wages of unpaid PDL/TDL workers who are deliver their legitimate duties since long; iii) Disbursement of GP fund, the cases releasing of GP Fund is still pending in respective treasures from last 6months with the result employees are suffering badly; iv) Releasing of deputation allowance to PDD employees who are working in existing corporations at par with UT Ladakh employees.
