Uri: (GNS) Police on Saturday arrested one person during Naka and recovered 130 grams brown sugar from his possession.According to reports a police party of Police station Boniyar laid a Naka at Children Park Boniyar and started searches during which a person namely Ata-ullah Mangral son of Mushtaq Ahmad Mangral resident of Dawran Uri was caught red handed with 130 gram of brown sugar from his possession.
SDPO Uri Junaid Wali told GNS that after receiving inputs, the Naka party intercepted a Maruti Van (JK20A-2253).
He said during searches one person was apprehended along with 130 gm of brown sugar. He said the vehicle was also seized.”A case under FIR No. 62/2020 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered and at police station Boniyar and further investigations taken up,” he added. (GNS)
