Srinagar, Nov 18 (GNS): The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Kulgam on Friday conducted raids at two different locations in the south Kashmir, officaisl said. The raids, according to a statement by the police were carried after obtaining search warrant from Court in connection with case (FIR No. 49/2022) of police station DH Pora pertaining to killing of a government Teacher Smt. Rajni Bala. “The searched locations include residential houses of two suspects namely Abdul Wakeel Shah son of Mohd Amin Shah resident of Danow Mukandpora and Tahir Ahmad Sofi son of Abdul Rahman Sofi resident of Kulgam Town,” the statement reads. During the search, it said, proper SOPs were followed and relevant information was gathered by the SIU Kulgam. “Besides, role of the suspects in commission of crime is also being examined.” It is pertinent to mention here that the raids are carried out to “eliminate the (militant) ecosystem in the district by identifying various (militant) associates and supporters of (militancy.” “These raids will continue in future also for the logical conclusion of all UAPA cases.” (GNS) Share this:PostWhatsAppTelegramTweetEmailLike this:Like Loading...
