Pulwama, Sep 04 (GNS): The final match of the Royal Premier League (RPL) between Royal Goodwill and Sultan Warriors Baramulla was disrupted on Friday after a huge crowd entered the playing field in Pulwama.
Eyewitnesses told GNS that the much-anticipated mega final drew cricket enthusiasts from across the Valley, leading to a massive gathering at the venue.
As the ground had already reached its capacity, security forces deployed near the main gate restricted entry of more spectators to manage the rush and maintain order.
However, amid the heavy rush, several spectators entered the playing area, forcing organizers to halt the match.
At the time of filing this report, the match remained suspended while efforts were underway to clear the field and control the crowd.(GNS)
