Srinagar: The month of Shaban, preceding the month of Holy Ramadan month, will start from tomorrow (Monday). Grand Mufti J&K, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam Farooqi, said that the crescent of the month of Shaban was not sighted yesterday, Rajab 29, and today it was Rajab 30 and by all means tomorrow (Monday) has be the first day of month of Shaban. Islam further said that ‘Ruet’ (sighting of crescent) is inconsequential (vis-a-vis the start of following month) when we have a full moon (30-day) month.
