Srinagar: In a tragic incident of its type, a minor boy drowned to death while attempting to fetch a cricket ball from river Jhelum near Noor Bagh area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
Reports quoting officials, said that one Muneer Ahmad Khanday (12), son of Mohd Maqbool Khanday, went after a ball, while he alongside other boys were playing Cricket here.
After noticing the occurrence, the locals rescued the boy a took him to SMHS Srinagar, where he was declared as brought dead on arrival.
The tragic death of the young boy has plunged whole of his native into melancholy.
