Srinagar, Jan 23 (GNS):  Fourteen travelers and a soldier were among 94 new novel coronavirus cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

They said, 29 of these cases were reported from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 123946. Eleven among the 20 districts in J&K recorded no fresh cases, the officials told GNS.  

Giving district wise, they said that Srinagar reported 38 cases, Baramulla 3, Budgam 6, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 8, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 1, Shopian 3, Jammu 29,  Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

Most of the cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of SKIMS Soura, CD hospitak GMC Anantnag.   

The SKIMS cases include female (40) from Nopora, female (27) from Wanpora Chadoora, female (50) from Dooniwari Camp Colony Budgam, male (78) from Kremshera Budgam, two females (95, 28) and male (60) from Saloora Ganderbal, male (32) from Gundrehman, female (58) from Safapora Ganderbal, female (75) from Lolab Kupwara and male (95) from Sopore Baramulla.

The CD cases include male (43) from BB Cantt, female (75) from Gulshanabad, male (20) from Batmaloo, female (42) from Bemina, male (44) from Naseem Bagh Habak, female (80) from Baramulla, male (70) from Nehama Pampore.

The GMC Anantnag cases include male (85) from Reshinagri, male (35) from N.H DK Pora.

Moreover, they said, 88 more covid-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 23 from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Valley. So far, 120914 cases have recovered so far— 50268 in Jammu and 70646 Kashmir—while 1929 people succumbed to the virus in J&K. There are 1103 active cases— 403 in Jammu and 700 in Kashmir. (GNS)
