41 travelers, 3 uniformed men among 122 test positive, Covid-19 tally rises to 5956

Srinagar, June 21 (GNS): 41 travelers were among 122 new cases of covid-19 reported in J&K, taking the number of the cases to 5956—1366 in Jammu and 4590 in Kashmir Valley.
The cases include two paramilitary forces personnel and an army soldier, two minor girls—aged 2 and 5 years—besides three pregnant women and a health worker.

Among the fresh cases, 32 were reported from Srinagar followed by Baramulla (17), 15 each in Anantnag and Budgam, Bandipora (10), Rajouri (8), Kulgam (6), five each in Kupwara and Kathua, Udhampur (3), Poonch (2) while one each has been reported in Pulwama, Ganderbal, Ramban and Kishtwar.

Dr. G H Yatoo, Nodal Officer Coronavirus Control Measures at SKIMS told GNS that out of the samples processed at the viral diagnostic lab today, 37 returned positive for the virus.

Seven from Bandipora, five from Kulgam, four from Srinagar, one each from Ganderbal and Baramulla besides one each resident from Assam, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh
The 16 cases from Anantnag include male (65) from Shangus, female (43) from Sandoo, male (35) from Mohripora , female (45) from Adigam, male (65) from Chickenpora Krangsoo , male (35) from Wanpoh, two males (38, 23) and as many females (60, 37) from Panchalthan, male (23) from Badasgam, two females (18, 36) and male (26) from Mirmidan Dooru, male (30) from Poshkeeri and female (26) from Gopalpora.
Seven case from Bandipora includes male (29) from Ward-6, four females (55, 55, 26, 02) and male (28) from Onagam, male (26) from Nadihal, male (39) from Morigaon Assam, male (51) from Maldah West Bengal and male (42) from Gawalior M.P while one case from Ganderbal is male (49) from proper Ganderbal. The four cases from Srinagar include male (19) from Rainawari , male (30) from SKIMS Soura, female (36) from Soura and male (63) from Ratpora while those from Kulgam include male (23) from YK-Pora , female (60) from Sahoo , male (22) from Turgam, female (33) and male (36) from Karewa while as the Baramulla case is male (25) from proper Baramulla.

Dr Riyaz Untoo, Principal SKIMS Bemina, told GNS that out of 646 samples processed at the hospital’s lab, 22 tested positive for COVID-19, 17 from Budgam and five from Srinagar.
The Srinagar cases include Female (27) from Karanagar, male (40) from Rainawari, two men (41, 35) from Soura, male (2) Ahamda Kadal, female (30) Lalbazar and M(22) from Dargah.

The Budgam cases include female (26) from Kanihama, five men (49, 14, 15, 35, 35) and three females (35, 35, 40) from Humhama Nurpura, three females (22, 55, 80) and male (58) from Chaira Magam, male (40) from SK Pora Hydri Complex and male (65) from Ratsun.
The cases confirmed at CD hospital include female (60) from Tral , three males (47, 20, 05) from HMT Srinagar, female (45) from Bemina , four males (30, 34, 42, 45) and three females (26, 75, 35) from Delina, male (42) from Gorivan, male (40) from Fatehgarh, two females (11, 40) from Beerwah Budgam,
Male (50) from Younsn Wahipora, female (52) and male (70) from Rajpora, males (45) from Zachaldara, male (70) from Dodipora, female (20) from Dhani Uri, male (33) from CRPF 53 Bn Baramulla, two males (30, 32) from Dobiwan, males (55) from Gokhama, males (35) from Reram, male (44) from Mangloora, male (29) from BB CANT Srinagar, females (68) from Nowpora Khanyar, male (35) from Nawakadal Srinagar, male (NA) from Rajouri Kadal Srinagar, male (19) from Sopore, female (26) from GMC Srinagar,
female (65) from Rambagh Srinagar, female (27) from Haihama, male (25) from Nowbough and male (26) from Bulgam Baramulla.

According to the bulletin, of the total 5956 positive cases in J&K 2027 have been reported as travelers while 3929 as others.
Moreover, 46 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals, 38 from Jammu Division and 08 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 5956 positive cases, 2492 are Active Positive, 3382 have recovered and 82 have died; 10 in Jammu division and 72 in Kashmir division.

Additionally, till date 253942 travelers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for surveillance which included 38829 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 30 in Hospital Quarantine, 2492 in hospital isolation and 46651 under home surveillance. Besides, 165858 persons have completed their surveillance period. (GNS)
